Version 2.8.1 of PDF24’s Free PDF Creator solves a problem when using the email feature. If you wanted to send a created PDF file via email read confirmation has been activated by default in older versions. The new version don’t activates read confirmation by default. You have to enable it manually if you want a confirmation. The new version is available for download on www.pdf24.org

A new version of the free PDF Creator software PDF24 Creator is comming this week. The main new feature of this version is a small and fast preview in the assistant. The preview gives you a fast overview of the created PDF. You can look at the preview to make sure that everything is correct.
The new version contains also some minor new features and bug fixes. It is now possible to change the name of a document in the editor. Another new feature is that when you want to email a created PDF the you have to enter a name for the file which will be attached to the email.
We have also removed two bugs. There was a focus problem when emailing a PDF using MS Outlook and there was a bug when sharing the PDF printer between a network.
There are also some enhancements in the new version. The preview in the editor is now faster and flicker free.
The PDF24 Creator 2.7.0 has been released. The new version contains some interesting new features. The new version can not only save PDF files but you can save documents as PDF, PS, EPS, PCL, PNG, JPEG, BMP, PCX, TIFF and PSD too. Each of these output filters have it’s own properties which can be curtomized when selecting an output filter. Forthermore we have enhanced some core components so that the PDF Editor will read more PDF files, we have extended PDF Screen Capture to use Windows Clipboard and we have added a component which visualizes processes in assistant.
We currently develop the next new version of PDF24 Creator. The new version will contains some new usability enhancements and some new features. The new version can’t only create PDF files but a lot of other files to such as images files like PNG and JPEG. There is a new user interface to choose one of the output formats and to make property changes which are necessary for the format.
The new version appears in 2 or 3 weeks.

The current version of PDF24 Creator supports the Twain interface in Windows. You can use this feature to import images from a scanner or a digi cam if these devices supports the twain interface too. Therefore there is a new menu entry in context menu of PDF24 tray icon and in program menü of PDF24 Editor. Just click on the appropriate menu entry and an small window will be schon which displays all devices that supports the twain interface. Select a device and follow the steps in the user interface of that device. After images becomes transfered to PDF24 Creator they will be converted to PDF.
We have released version 2.6.2 of the free PDF Creator developed by pdf24. The new version is interesting firms who uses windows terminal servers. Out latest version can be installed in a Citrix terminal server environment so that all users in that environment can use the free PDF printer to create PDF out of almost any application. The PDF editor is also available for each user in that environment. Test it out.
