Although there's a japanese version of the site, it seems impossible to convert japanese files in pdf. Japanse caracters become "blanks"... I tried with .doc and .xls, from interface in english first, then in japanse but it doesn't change anything.

maybe there ist no encoding set in the doc file, so that our converter do not know the correct font charset.

I have testet a japanese doc and my test was good.

hmm currently i don't know how to solve your problem.
